Photline Technologies offers a complete range of Optical Modulation Units based on the company waveguide modulators and RF electronic modules. The high bandwidth of the LiNbO3 modulators used in the ModBoxes allows for short pulses with sharp rise and fall edges. This solution is available for various wavelengths from 780 nm to 2.2 mm with high extinction ratio and high power.

As fiber lasers are gaining popularity in laboratories as well as in the industry, the interest for high bandwidth, low power consumption, compact waveguide modulators is getting more obvious. With modulation bandwidth of 10 GHz or more, LiNbO3 modulators offer unrivalled performance for short pulse generation (100 ps and even less). Moreover they allow for user profiled pulses and are compatible with pre-distortion techniques that are often necessary before optical amplification.

Pulse ModBoxes by Photline Technologies incorporates a high extinction modulator, RF driving electronics and automatic bias control circuitry. As an option, they also receive a seed laser source, a programmable pulse generator and optical amplifier for high power optical pulses.

They make up turn-key systems with high pulse-to-pulse repeatability, ease of use and cutting edge guaranteed performance for a variety of applications including test in R&D and production, pulse picking, pulse slicing, pulse shaping, high energy laser seeding.
